Teeing Up: A New Technology in Battery Storage

As part of NH Energy Week, join us for an exclusive tour of the Amherst Country Club to explore their innovative solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and cutting-edge golf cart technology. In 2021, the club installed a 198-kW ground-mounted solar PV array consisting of 494 modules and six inverters, covering approximately 8,680 square feet. This installation supplies electricity for all club operations, significantly reducing energy costs and environmental impact.

In addition to the solar PV system, the club has integrated smart charging technology into their fleet of golf carts. These carts utilize innovative controlled charging systems with advanced charging algorithms that optimize energy use and efficiency, ensuring efficient charging and charge completion. By intelligently managing charging patterns, this technology minimizes reliance on grid electricity and fossil fuels, aligning with sustainable practices in the golf industry.
