Join the Young Professionals in Energy (YPiE) and the Women's Energy Network Northern New England for an afternoon tour of the solar array at The Flying Goose Brew Pub - with networking to follow.
As New Hampshire's first solar powered brewery, The Flying Goose Brew Pub's roof mounted solar panels offset the amount of energy needed for the daily operations of the restaurant as well as to heat their water supply. Additionally, the solar photovoltaic (āPVā) array near the hops garden generates about 50% of the electricity used each year. In its first year of operation, the system produced 60 MWh of energy - about 120% of what was originally projected.
Eric Kilens, Solar Advisor with Granite State Solar, will take us for a tour of the property, share his planning and installation experience regarding this project while talking about the overall benefits of solar energy.
