About the event

The Lee Public Library is officially unveiling its new solar and battery storage system - transforming a beloved community gathering place into a resilience hub that will keep the lights on, the heat running, and the doors open ... even when the grid goes down.


The new system features a 17.835 kW solar array with 41 high-efficiency panels and three battery storage units, designed to generate more than 100% of the library's electricity needs and power critical systems for at least 48 hours during an outage. For a library that has historically had to close for up to a week during extended power outages, this is a game-changer.


This project is about more than clean energy - it's about making sure the community always has a warm, welcoming place to turn to. Stop by for the ribbon cutting, see the system up close, and watch live energy production data roll in…
